One of the biggest threats to our liberty is not climate change, nor is it ISIS, though they are certainly high up on the list.
No, the greatest threat to a free society is leaving the most defenseless of citizens completely unprotected from evil, and there’s no better example of this than how the unborn are treated today.
Abortion kills millions of children each year, a grotesque holocaust that’s happening right here before our eyes. What’s worse is that it’s legal.
Just to show you how far down the rabbit hole humanity has really gone, an abortion executive actually believes it’s acceptable for a woman to kill her unborn child if it turns out to be the wrong gender.
On Wednesday, Dr. Patricia Lohr, Medical Director of bpas, appeared in front of the Irish Joint Committee examining the Eighth Amendment, and her answers shocked some of the TDs.
Fine Gael TD Peter Fitzpatrick began his questioning by referring to Ann Furedi’s comments on Loose Women. The head of bpas shocked panellists on the daytime television show in August when she said the 24 week limit on abortion should be scrapped, and that it was “always down to the woman” if she wanted to abort her baby because it was the wrong gender.
Though she claimed not to have seen the programme or know the content of her boss’ statement, Dr Lohr described situations when legal grounds could be used to facilitate a sex selective abortion, and said “I absolutely agree with the view that it is for the woman to decide when and whether she is ready to parent.”
Mr Fitzpatrick said that bpas is “a horrifying charity, where it’s CEO is encouraging gender selection.” He also said that most people would be horrified at the idea of abortion after 24 weeks, which Ann Furedi promoted, and that he was “very disappointed” that Dr Lohr was unable to answer questions on how many abortions bpas had carried out on the grounds of the baby having a chromosomal condition such as Down’s syndrome.
Senator Ronan Mullen also had some hard questions for Dr. Lohr, noting that bpas had been chastised by the Care Quality Commission for a plethora of safety issues at one of its clinics.
What’s really disturbing is that when Lohr was asked how many abortions she herself has participated in, the number was so large she couldn’t nail it down saying, “hundreds, thousands maybe – I don’t keep track.”
How horrifying is that? This woman has participated in so many child murders that she can’t even recall the exact number. That’s how much blood is on her hands.
Children are made in the image of God and they have the same God-given rights as everyone else, regardless of whether or not they are in the womb.
It’s our duty as a civilized society to protect those who cannot protect themselves, which is why the battle against abortion is one that must be fought here at home, but also around the world.
Any nation that doesn’t defend the defenseless is in danger of losing its freedom.
