The communists are coming. That’s not hyperbole. Violent alt-left organizations such as Antifa make no secret of their existence, and members feel it’s perfectly fine to create chaos when they don’t agree with something.
That chaos doesn’t just come in the form of disruptive protests either. Antifa and company feel that it’s completely within reason to destroy property and assault people to get their point across. The mainstream media continues to turn a completely blind eye to the actions of the groups, and that’s enough to make you really stop and wonder.
Beyond ignoring them, some outlets are even glorifying the groups as they ‘seek peace through violence.’ What? Exactly. That’s a complete load of nonsense. If you break stuff and hurt others, you’re a thug. That applies regardless of the political ideology of the thug.
Adding to the uneasiness, the groups are spreading and sticking their nose in all over the place. For example, a site known as ‘It’s Going Down’ is promoting a strike against a Target store in Christiansburg, Virginia.
According to the site, the manager in question is guilty of “inappropriate touching, suggestive comments, racist remarks, misgendering transgender employees, and physical abuse.”
The posting claims that employees have tried to raise complaints further up the food chain, but to no avail.
Alright. So we have aggrieved employees that are looking to strike to improve working conditions. Simple enough, happens all the time.
But why would this be listed on a site that describes itself as “a digital community center from anarchist, anti-fascist, autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial movements. Our mission is to provide a resilient platform to publicize and promote revolutionary theory and action.”
Do anarchists really need to be involved in a situation that can be resolved between employees, the store in question, and Target corporation? Common sense says no.
Be aware, folks. The alt-left is out there in abundance – no matter what the mainstream media tells you.
