Sweden is on its way to becoming a full-fledged liberal dystopia, so much so that even the so-called Christian churches, who purport to follow the teachings of Christ, are going the way of the progressive LGBT agenda. The state-sponsored Church of Sweden is causing quite a controversy yet again after featuring for their altar artwork which featured homosexual couples and transgender individuals in the Garden of Eden

This was highly offensive to devout Christians for obvious reasons…but offensive to the LGBT camp for incomprehensible reasons. Read on.

Breitbart reports:

The St. Pauli church in the Swedish multicultural city of Malmo will replace a controversial pro-LGBT altarpiece with another work depicting Jesus Christ in high heels.

Swedish priest Helena Myrstener told media that the original painting, which was taken down because some claimed it depicted traznsgender [sic] individuals in a negative light, will be replaced by a print of another work by the same artist which depicts a transgender Jesus at the last supper, broadcaster SVT reports.

The painting, entitled Paradise, is the creation of Swedish artist Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin and depicted a scene from the Garden of Eden with same-sex couples and transgender figures.

The painting stirred controversy as it was hung at the altar of the church. But it was the depiction of a transgender figure with the serpent — and therefore the association with evil and temptation — which outraged activists and led to the painting being removed.

The only thing anyone should be upset about is the blatant rebellion towards God and His holy word. The fact that this artwork was being displayed in a church that claims to revere God is utterly tragic.

For her part, Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin, the artist behind the painting, said,” “The Church of Sweden has until today had problems with transgender people, so to give the appearance that they now care about transgender people is a step, but it was devious to remove the painting. They will be ashamed of this history.”

They ought to be ashamed of this “history” but hardly for the reasons pointed out by Wallin. They will be ashamed of this when they, one day, stand before God and are required to give an account for the decision to display this kind of art and the way in which they led their entire congregation astray.

The painting that replaced the original offender  is even more despicable,

Observe:

As Breitbart notes, “Sweden’s state church is well-known for its progressive liberal stances which have seen lesbian Stockholm archbishop Eva Brunne claim she has more in common with Muslims than conservative Christians.” This “church” is in a dire situation being led by an apostate and wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Pray earnestly for the Church of Sweden.
