Colorado Children’s Hospital Removes Gender From Wristbands for the Sake of Political Correctness

Political correctness is factual incorrectness.

Can we just agree on this? At least as far as gender is concerned, the more the left tries to identify what is politically correct, the more we slip into common acceptance of things that are factually untrue.

Gender is real, and it’s an important aspect of who someone is, and it is often very important to know, particularly for medical professionals, what gender someone is.

Breitbart reports:

Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, announced that it is taking markings of gender off patient wristbands in order to satisfy politically correct, transgender activists.
The hospital said the male and female designations were removed to support kids who claim to be transgender and to support their “unique gender identity.”

“We are seeing more and more patients who have diverse gender identities,” Children’s Hospital Colorado spokesperson Dr. Natalie Nokoff told WLTX-TV 19. “I think that’s true of programs all across the United States.”

Nokoff has made a career of treating patients who claim to be transgender.

One patient, a natural born girl who “identifies” as a boy, praised the hospital’s move.

“It’s huge. Bigger than anything on this planet. Looking down and seeing that ‘f’, I’m just like ‘no. That’s not right,’” patient Ben told 9NEWS.

It is noteworthy that this is happening at a children’s hospital. So much of the movement to normalize gender confusion seems to be targeted at children.

If enough children have “diverse gender identities” that a prominent children’s hospital needs to change their wristbands to make these children feel more comfortable during their stay, shouldn’t we be looking at why this troubling trend is occurring?

Or perhaps, shouldn’t we admit to ourselves that these children only think it’s OK to utterly deny their own biological gender because the adults in their lives are introducing them to this concept?

How many children, really, looked down at their wristbands and were troubled to the point of ill health during a stay in the hospital, most likely due to something other than their gender confusion?

We are playing with fire by infusing the next generation with confusion and downright false ideas about gender.

And trust me, we don’t want to find out the hard way what the consequences will be.
