Corey Feldman has long been speaking out against the dark, elite underbelly of Hollywood and the rampant pedophilia that exists therein.
As a wildly successful child star, this was the world he grew up in, and he and his late friend, Corey Haim, were both repeatedly abused as young boys by powerful men in Hollywood who Feldman says are still working in the industry.
Now, perhaps emboldened by the recent expose of Hollywood indie king Harvey Weinstein, Feldman is planning a film to expose these predatory abusers–but, he says, his life may be at risk in the meantime.
“I believe we can… bring down potentially a pedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child. Right off the bat I can name six names,” he said in a video announcing the film, which came shortly after his public declaration that he was going to expose these men.
“Ever since I discussed the fact that I have this plan, my life has turned to utter chaos,” he says in the video, which marked the beginning of a fundraising campaign for his film–and for a legal team and extra security detail to protect him.
“I’ve been silenced my whole life, but just over the past few days since I made that announcement, I’ve been arrested, I had a near-death experience last night where I felt like I was almost going to be killed. Two trucks came speeding at me at the same time on a crosswalk,” he says, adding that his band members also quit “for fear of their lives.”
His wife writes in the Indiegogo campaign description that this is more about raising money for a film, it is about the ultimate battle between good and evil.
“This can truly be a way to regain control over who has access to children in the industry, while weeding out the criminals who have already caused the damage,” she writes. “This is a call for the world to unite for a most important cause, to preserve the innocence of children.
Feldman says that by doing this himself, the story can be told without any outside corrupting influence that might censor the truth, as has been done to him for so many years.
“I propose to do this by… telling my own story in a very real way, in a very honest way, with no editing, no censorship, no studio behind it,” he says.
“I will make the film, I will direct the film, I will produce the film, and I will self-distribute it to guarantee it gets a theatrical release with your donations. Additionally, it will help me buy the security and the legal team I need to protect my family.”
The malicious child predators in Hollywood must be exposed–and stopped.
