Minnesota School To Launch MANDATORY Pro-Trans Policy Without Explaining It To Parents

An acclaimed public charter school in Minnesota will be launching what The Daily Signal describes as “a far-reaching inclusionary policy” on gender that students will not be able to opt out of on religious grounds.

According to The Daily Signal, the school will also be under no obligation to adequately explain the policy to parents.

The outlet reports that the policy came about after a legal scuffle between Nova Classical Academy and David and Hannah Edwards – parents of a transgender child.

In a complaint filed against the school in March of 2016, the couple accused it of failing “to protect their [then kindergarten-age] child and other gender nonconforming and transgender students at Nova from persistent gender-based bullying and hostility.”

The complaint also alleged that Nova “denied their child the ability to undergo a gender transition at Nova in a safe and timely way.”

Nova Classical Academy initially resisted the allegations but, on Monday, LGBT rights group Gender Justice announced that an agreement had been reached between the two parties.

As part of the agreement, Nova Classical Academy will be forced to pay a ridiculous $120,000 to the Edwardses.

As if that’s not bad enough, there’s also that pesky mandatory and to-be-unexplained transgender policy Nova Classical Academy will be introducing.

The policy, as discussed in Gender Justice’s release on the settlement, contains a number of eyebrow-raising points.

For one, Nova Classical Academy will no longer be able to refer to inappropriate clothing as “exposing the midriff” or “skimpy.”

The school will also have to “eliminate gendered uniform policies and make all approved uniform items available without regard to gender.”

Further, staff at the school will need to undergo training on dealing with “bias-based bullying” and creating “gender inclusive classroom environments” at least once every three years until 2025.

Perhaps most puzzling, however, is the mandate that “Nova will not call parents’ or guardians’ attention to policy or law allowing them to opt out of specific instruction regarding gender inclusion.”

Is it any wonder why homeschooling is on the rise in America?

Schools – some by choice, others out of a fear of litigation from insane parents – are taking simple principles out of the classroom and adopting extremist ideologies that purposely keep parents out of the loop and unable to have a say in the ideology being forced down their kids’ throats.
