Popular Adultery Website Sees Spike in Extra-Marital Affairs Among City Dwellers

We spend a lot of time on this website on things like homosexuality, transgenderism, and the sexualization of children, which are being constantly normalized by the left and seem to be ushering in a whole new era of deviance in our nation that make Sodom and Gomorrah look like Victorian England.

Sometimes, as Christians, in this crazy age, it’s easy to forget that one of the most basic of sins is still running rampant: adultery.

One indicator is that there is a thriving website, Ashley Madison, designed specifically to connect adults with other adults looking to have an affair or engage in a relationship with a married person.

Another indicator is Ashley Madison’s own data on how many people are having affairs.

The Daily Wire reports:

Cities have seen a massive increase in cheating spouses, according to Ashley Madison, the website known for facilitating extramarital affairs.

Speaking with USA Today, the lascivious dating site provided some shocking data from 2017, revealing a spike in membership from several major cities. The summer months were the peak, with women signups reaching a record high in July.

“We know that these women are coming to our site because we provide a discreet platform for like-minded adults to connect and potentially meet,” Ashley Madison’s president and CTO Ruben Buell said in a statement.

Here are the top cities for web-based adultery:

  1. Seattle
  2. Denver
  3. Dallas
  4. Philadelphia
  5. San Jose
  6. Los Angeles
  7. San Francisco
  8. Houston
  9. Charlotte
  10. Austin
  11. Columbus
  12. Indianapolis
  13. Chicago
  14. San Diego
  15. New York City
  16. Jacksonville
  17. San Antonio
  18. Washington DC
  19. Fort Worth
  20. Phoenix

You might have figured that mostly liberal cities would be on the list, and there are certainly plenty, but take note that very conservative Dallas takes the third spot.

Conservative, heterosexual, cisgender, maybe even culturally Christian people are still daily tempted with sin, never forget this. You may remember that a few years back, hackers released the names of thousands of Ashley Madison users (in a hacking feat that is hard to criticize, honestly), including Josh Duggar, son of the outspoken Duggar family who is quite open about their own Christian faith.

You don’t have to be dancing around in a speedo in a gay pride parade to invite God’s wrath, after all–no one is immune from sin, or judgment.

This is all the more reason to remember how much the world needs Jesus! Pray for our country as we seem to dive deeper and deeper into the normalization of sexual deviance and grievous sin.
