Yet another major international brand has kowtowed to the LGBT movement because apparently promoting “alternative lifestyles” is vitally important when selling soda pop.
Sprite, owned by Coca-Cola, ran an emotional LGBT-themed video on Argentina’s social media channels last week, one day before Buenos Aires’ Pride event. It’s pretty apparent their goal is not to sell Sprite but to remain culturally relative and show everyone how “woke” they are as far too many companies do these days, often to their own detriment
The video uses the song “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the musical “Carousel” as a backdrop in an effort to tug on heartstrings and to highlight just how victimized the LGBT community claims to be. . While the touching song plays, the video shows family members tenderly supporting, and even helping, their gender-confused and homosexual loved ones prepare for the Pride event.
The video starts out showing a mother and son in a creepy, dimly lit room. The mother applies makeup to her son. . The next scene shows what appears to another mother helping her daughter put on a binder in order to flatten her chest so as to appear to be a boy. The next scene keeps the momentum going with a grandma playfully helping her grandson get decked out in his drag queen costume as they laugh and dance together.
The ad continues on, showing people getting a rainbow flag ready as they give a few children hugs . The mother of the son wearing the makeup sends him off for his big day at the parade and a father watches his son and his son’s boyfriend walk towards the parade holding hands.
At the end of the ad, the slogans , “Orgullo: Lo que sentís cuando alguien que querés elige ser feliz,” and “No estás solx,” appear, which translate to “Pride: What you feel when someone you love chooses to be happy,” and “You’re not alone.”

A common tactic of major companies like Sprite is to use emotional advertising like this to make those who are LGBT-identifying feel good about their lifestyle while simultaneously making those who disagree with the LGBT lifestyle appear to be cold-hearted, uncompassionate, and hateful. This is an artificial juxtaposition contrived to bring divide and further polarize the opposing sides of the culture war. Sprite is essentially saying “if you aren’t like these people in the video you aren’t loving,” which is a completely false narrative. Most people who oppose LGBT lifestyles aren’t hateful at all and are loving, kind, compassionate people who simply have different beliefs. Sprite would have you believe the opposite.
So ask yourself: do you want to continue to support companies who subtly render you “hateful” just for opposing the dangerous and harmful LGBT lifestyle?
