Satanic Temple Leader Says More Than Half Their Membership Is LGBTQ

Sin loves darkness. Darkness allows sin to fester and grow, undeterred by the light of conviction and correction.

It should come as no surprise, therefore, that Lucien Greaves, leader of The Satanic Temple, has revealed in a recent interview that at least half of the members of his subversive cult are also part of the LGBT community.

“It would be a conservative estimate to say that more than 50 percent of our membership is LGBTQ,” Greaves told U.K.-based Attitude magazine. “From the start, when one of our early actions was the Pink Mass, a lot of LGBTQ people were looking for another community that didn’t see them as defined by their sexual orientation.”

The “Pink Mass” to which Greaves referred is, according to the Huffington Post, a ritual he performed at the Mississippi gravesite of Catherine Idalette Johnston, mother of WBC founder Fred Phelps Jr, mocking the traditional Roman Catholic practice of the Mass.

“Within the Satanic Temple, we’re all pretty much one and the same,” Greaves continued. “We’re all Satanists and it’s not like we have ‘tolerance’ for trans people or gay people or sex workers, we just don’t f***ing care, and a lot of people in those communities appreciate that.”

“Our chapters are always involved with Pride parades in the United States, they’re always doing something for the LGBTQ community and they’re always open about inclusion,” Greaves added.

“A commitment to Satan is not required to join the Temple, although a commitment to trolling anti-LGBT evangelicals is desirable,” says a Pink News editorial on Greaves’ comments to Attitude. “The group’s website clarifies that members do not actually ‘believe in the existence of Satan or the supernatural.’”

“As such, we do not promote a belief in a personal Satan. To embrace the name Satan is to embrace rational inquiry removed from supernaturalism and archaic tradition-based superstitions,” Greaves also stated. “Satanists should actively work to hone critical thinking and exercise reasonable agnosticism in all things.’”

How incredibly pitiful that these supposed “free thinkers” don’t realize that they are indeed trapped and bound to their preferred school of thought. They claim not to believe in supernaturalism, but they have made idols of sex and self-gratification.

Lord, forgive our society for finding a place for them and empower us to shine the light of your Word in this present darkness!
