For the party that claims to be all about tolerance and can’t shut up about how “hateful” Donald Trump is, they sure seem to be seething with hate these days! Even innocent high school English quizzes must be subject to the fuming anger of leftists who can’t get over the results of the 2016 election.
Conservative Wyoming parents were shocked recently to find a very odd option on a multiple choice online quiz on the George Orwell classic Animal Farm.
The quiz, given by English teacher Carin Aufderheide at Jackson Hole High School, asked the question “Napoleon has the gun fired for a new occasion. What is the new occasion?”
Of the five choices, one included “A) He was shooting at Trump” as an answer.
When parents saw the quiz, many were in disbelief.

“I had to read it two times,” says Jim McCollum, father of Rylee, a junior, who showed him a screenshot of the question and possible answers, according to News & Guide. “I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’”
McCollum is a conservative who voted for Trump, says his son Rylee feels alienated by the clear “liberal bias” in his classroom.
“He told me, ‘Dad, they crapped on everything I believe in,’” McCollum said. “Rylee is very patriotic, very supportive of our military and of our country.”
McCollum clarifies that as someone who doesn’t always like what Trump says, he thinks the inappropriateness of this question transcends political ideology.
“It was so inappropriate to show a name of a sitting president in that question,” he said. “To me, that is so wrong in light of the situation in our country and the divisiveness and all.”
The story has caught nationwide attention ever since McCollum took to Facebook to denounce the inappropriate multiple choice answer on his son’s quiz.
Teton County School District was forced to respond, saying “TCSD #1 takes seriously threats of any kind, regardless of the intent. We apologize to the students, families and community for this incident and will be addressing the issue with personnel.”
They declined to state on the status of the teacher who wrote the quiz.
While Wyoming voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016, Teton County remained the one county in the state that Hillary Clinton won.
This isn’t Jackson Hole High School’s first instance of tasteless anti-patriotism, in 2015, they famously canceled their school’s ‘America Day’ celebration, saying “we’re trying to be inclusive and safe, make everyone feel welcome.”
Every week and nearly every day here, we report on cases of teachers who simply can’t keep their political and cultural ideology out of the classroom. Classrooms are meant to be places where children can engage in academics and explore ideas, but they are increasingly becoming indoctrination centers for leftist and secular ideology.
Adults of our generation simply do not know how to behave themselves around children. This teacher actually thought it would be appropriate to write this answer into her quiz, which of course, had nothing to do with current events or American politics.
It is almost always concerned parents who bring these stories to light, and these parents are the few Americans who have the decency and presence of mind to bring attention to the indoctrination our children are subject to day in and day out.
Keep speaking out, parents, and keeping a watchful eye on your children and those who you entrust to educate them! You are their most important teachers, after all.
