If you think that the crazy intersectional philosophy that has been dominating the culture war over the last decade is unique to the American left, you haven’t been paying attention.
While Donald Trump’s election marked a strong resistance to the politically correct intersectional narrative that Americans have been brow-beaten with for far too long, across the globe, this philosophy is defining the way governments, as well as global governance organizations in particular, conduct their business.
If you think the Democratic party is liberal, you should check out the UN and organizations like the WHO, who are at the global forefront of normalizing homosexuality and gender confusion, and push for graphic, blatantly ideological sex ed in classrooms across the globe to do so.
This week, the World Health Organization has announced they will no longer be classifying the mental illness of gender dysmorphia as just that, a mental illness.
The Daily Signal has the story:
The World Health Organization announced Monday that it will not classify being transgender as a mental disorder in its upcoming 11th edition of its International Classification of Diseases.
“Gender incongruence, meanwhile, has also been moved out of the mental disorders in the ICD, into sexual health conditions,” the WHO said in a report.
The WHO cited “clear” evidence that being transgender “is not a mental disorder, and indeed classifying it in this can cause enormous stigma for people who are transgender.”
The announcement comes the same day the WHO ruled “gaming disorder” as a new mental health disorder to be included in the International Classification of Diseases.
The National Center for Transgender Equality conducted a poll in 2015 that painted a “troubling picture” of the mental health issues faced by many transgender Americans.
Four out of 10 transgender Americans have attempted suicide in their lifetime, which is nearly nine times the attempted suicide rate among all Americans, the poll found.
The only thing that has changed about gender dysmorphia is the public attitude towards it. It is still a mental illness, whether the WHO classifies it as such or not.
Gender theory has no basis in reality, let alone medical science. It’s just a philosophy, based on feelings and experiences, not actual data.
When a segment of the population that identifies as transgender is facing a crippling suicide crisis, one has to imagine there is more than simple social stigmas behind this clear mental health issue.
Why won’t the medical community actually try to help people instead of simply normalizing their illness?
This agenda goes far beyond simple “tolerance.” They’re trying to fundamentally change the way people view God’s most cherished creation: male and female humans made in his image.
Destroy gender, and you destroy the very definition of humanity.
